Soccer Panthers Stay Perfect With 4-0 Victory At Bellarmine

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Receiving another two goals from junior Steve Wilczewski, the Drury men's soccer Panthers blanked Bellarmine 4-0 in Great Lakes Valley Conference action here on Sunday.
Wilczewski scored his league-leading seventh and eighth goals to help the Panthers move to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the GLVC heading into a league showdown with the nation's top-ranked team, Northern Kentucky, on Friday at Harrison Stadium (7:30 p.m.). Drury first will play Missouri Southern in a non-league match at Harrison on Wednesday (7 p.m.).
Drury was clinging to a 1-0 lead after Wilczewski's unassisted goal at 17:58 when sophomore Peter Higgins scored just 27 seconds before halftime to give the Panthers a momentum boost and 2-0 lead going into the break.
Sophomore Adam Peterson scored off a Micah Whorton assist just six minutes into the second half to make it 3-0, and Wilczewski closed the scoring off a Peterson assist at 60:49.
Junior keeper Logan Hoffman was credited with a career-high 11 saves as the Knights out-shot the Panthers 20-17.
