No. 20 Northern Kentucky struck for two goals in the first 34 minutes and went on to a 3-1 victory over Drury in a Great Lakes Valley Conference women's soccer match Friday at Harrison Stadium.

The Panthers had a four-game winning streak snapped in falling to 4-3-1 overall and 4-1 in GLVC play. Northern Kentucky improved to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the league.

The Norse scored all three times from point-blank range, first by Ashley Warndorf at 15:57 (Kendall Day and Amanda Mason assists) and then by Mason at 34:13 to take a 2-0 lead into the half. NKU pushed it to 3-0 on Jessica Page's unassisted goal at 81:19 before defending league champion DU finally got on the board when freshman Nicole Williams scored her team-leading fifth goal on a Chloe Moushey assist at 87:48.

Drury matched the Norse in shots at 11-all, but managed just two attempts on goal. NKU senior keeper Angela Healey, the former Norse basketball star, had one save, while Panthers' sophomore Jessie Sanderson was credited with six.

The Panthers are back in action on Sunday, playing host to Indianapolis in a noon GLVC match at Harrison Stadium.
