OWENSBORO, Ky. - No. 25 Drury put a goal on the board in each half for a 2-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory at Kentucky Wesleyan in women's college soccer action on Friday.
The Panthers moved to 11-2 overall and stayed tied atop the GLVC standings at 7-1. Wesleyan dropped to 6-7-1 and 3-7-0.
Senior Sarah Goodman scored off a Christie Stewart assist in the 29th minute to put Drury up 1-0 by halftime. The Panthers then padded the lead when Stewart scored off an assist from Katie Pritchard ath the 57:40 mark.
Junior keeper Jessie Sanderson posted her ninth shutout of the season and 29th of her career, coming up with five saves in the victory as Drury outshot the host Panthers 9-6.
Drury concludes the weekend road trip with a noon (EST) GLVC game at Bellarmine in Louisville, Ky., on Sunday.
