INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – UINDY posted a 2-0 win over the Drury men's soccer team in the opening round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament at Key Stadium on Sunday.
Drury, the seventh seed, finishes 7-9-2 overall and Indianapolis, the two seed, improved to 12-4-2.
The Greyhounds struck first when Zak Mitchie scored at the 18:36 mark off a Casey Zimmerman assist for his fifth goal on the year. Jacob Meyer sealed the game with a goal at the 85:27 mark on a header assisted by Mitchie.
The Greyhounds outshot Drury 16-12 and had eight shots on goal to the Panthers two.
Antoine Vial took a team-high three shots and
Julien Chevy,
Matt Clarkin and
Pierre Villez each got off two shots.
