Katie McCune crushed Drury's school record in the 3,000 meter run last weekend at the Southwest Baptist Invitational. The freshman from Springfield-New Covenant Academy completed the event with a time of 10:24.64 to finish in second place and just 1.5 seconds off of the winning time. McCune broke Drury's record in the event, which had stood since 2004, by 23 seconds.
