For the second straight meet, Drury sophomore Chaaz Ferguson-Cooper took first place in the 400-meter hurdles as he won the event on Friday at the Missouri Southern State Last Chance Meet in Joplin, Missouri.

Ferguson-Cooper posted a time of 54.17 and finished first by 0.33 seconds over Matt Willis from Missouri Southern State. Grayson Lawrence from the University of Texas-Tyler finished came in third with a time of 57.44.

Last weekend, Ferguson-Cooper won the same event in the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship meet. He also finished first at a meet hosted by Central Methodist on March 17, and it marked his fifth career win in the 400-meter hurdles.
