Bentley Mara had a monster week as the 12th ranked Panthers went 3-0 in the Mizuno Midwest Region Crossover Tournament and defeated the first place team in the G-MAC as well as 5th ranked and first place GLIAC foe Ferris State. Mara averaged 4.3 kills per set with a hitting percentage of .333. She also totaled 34 digs in the three matches. She posted 18 kills in Drury’s 3-1 win over Hillsdale, 13 in a 3-0 victory against Wayne St. (Mich.) and had 21 with 20 digs against Ferris State on Saturday. She was named to the all-tournament team and, in Saturday’s match, became the 15th player in program history to surpass 1,000 career kills.
