A two-time, All-NAIA District 16 selection, Carolyn still holds the DU single-season record for kill blocks with 314, ranking second in her career in that category as well as in the Top 15 in career kills. An NAIA Academic All-America choice in 1983, she graduated from Drury magna cum laude with a 3.825 gpa, earning degrees in both Business Administration and Accounting. The native of Mountain Grove, Mo., helped take the Drury volleyball program from a .500 finisher into a District 16 title challenger her final two seasons, as the Panthers compiled a combined 55-33-7 mark her junior and senior campaigns.She is credited as being instrumental in helping the DU volleyball program turn the corner and become a consistent NAIA District 16 threat for the rest of the 1980s and early 1990s.
