A native of Boley, Oklahoma, Jerry was the first Drury player to score over 2,000 career points and is the only player in Drury history to earn First Team NAIA All-American honors twice. Basketball Weekly's National Small College Player of the Year, "J.D." led the 1979 Panthers to the NAIA national championship and a 33-2 record. He graduated from Drury in May of 1979 and ranks second all-time in scoring with 2,280 points. He is currently #9 in career rebounds and is the Drury record holder with 984 field goals. His 644 points in 1977-78 tie him for fifth most in a season and his 463 assists put him #5 all-time.
