The Drury swimming/diving program has produced dozens of standouts since its beginning, but none enjoyed any more success or received more accolades than Kelly Kremer. Kelly, who earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Drury, was a member of four NAIA national championship swimming teams (1989-1992), was a 29-time All-American and 24-time national champion. He was twice the NAIA's Male Swimmer of the Year (1991 & 1992) and twice the Panther's Most Valuable Swimmer. In 1991 he was a finalist in the 100 backstroke at the U.S. Open and in 1992 he qualified in the U.S. Olympic trials in the same stroke. Kelly is now a coach for the Mission Viejo (Calif.) Nadadore Swimming program one of the most respected and successful swimming programs in the nation.
