Primarily a distance freestyle specialist, "Miro" was also accomplished in the butterfly events and still holds the DU record for the 200 freestyle. He was responsible for more than 20 NCAA-II event titles during his four-year run as a Panther while earning All-America honors throughout, and helped the Panthers claim their first D-II national championship (1999) after Drury had finished second nationally his sophomore and junior seasons.
