Drury's nationally sixth-ranked basketball Panthers will put their 26-game home court winning streak on the line from the get-go of the 2014-15 season when they open the campaign against Southwest Baptist Tuesday night in the annual Bank of Bolivar "Highway 13 Cat Fight" at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
Tipoff is scheduled for approximately 8 p.m. between the Panthers and the Bearcats (0-2), who droppd a pair of close decisions at home last weekend to open their season.Â
Drury tuned up for the regular season opener with a 75-34 victory over Lyon (Ark.) College last Thursday at The O', as junior guard
Kameron Bundy led the way with 16 points and six assists in 22 minutes of play. Newcomer
Lucciano Gamiz had 13 points (on 4 of 5 shooting from 3-point range) and
Cameron Adams added 11 points in 12 foul-plagued minutes for the Panthers, who are coming off a 28-4 campaign that saw them advance to the NCAA-II Elite Eight one season after winning the national championship.

Steve Hesser's Panthers are a combined 59-8 over the last two seasons, and have not suffered a home loss since a 90-88 overtime setback to Wisconsin-Parkside on January 5, 2013. Drury was 17-0 last season at the O'Reilly Center.
Bundy was a First Team All-GLVC selection last season after averaging 17.6 points, while Adams was a Second Team choice with his 17.5 points and team-leading 6.1 rebounds per game. Senior guard
Drake Patterson is entering his fourth season as a starter for DU.
SBU, in its first season under coach Clark Sheahy, lost 65-55 to Southwest Minnesota State and 68-67 to Minnesota-Duluth last weekend in Bolivar. The Bearcats also fell 79-63 in the preseason at NCAA Division I Southern Illinois.
Daymond Cowla, a 6-1 junior transfer from UC-Riverside, is averaging 12.5 points and 6-5 senior Menas Stephens is averaging 11.5 points and 13.5 rebounds to lead the Bearcats through two games.
Drury leads the all-time series with SBU 34-18, including victories in the past two meetings. Drury won 73-44 at The O' in the 2012-13 season and 97-70 in Bolivar last season.
