Kameron Bundy scored 26 points to lead five Panthers in double-figures and No. 16 Drury shook off a scrappy Mid-America Christian University team for a 102-89 victory on Saturday afternoon at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
Tevin Foster added 20 points,
Nadir Alston and
Lucciano Gamiz had 15 points each and
Joshua Palmer chipped in with 13 points as the Panthers moved to 3-0 on the season.
Drury led 42-36 at the half.
Nick Tate and Bryon Miller had 20 points each for Mid-America Christian, an NAIA Division I team from Oklahoma City that fell to 6-2.
Douglas Moore had 10 rebounds and Gamiz finished with seven for the Panthers, who claimed a 37-30 edge on the boards for the contest. Gamiz also had a game-high seven assists for DU, which shot 58 percent (34 of 59) from the field for the game, including 10-of-16 shooting (63 percent) from 3-point range.
Drury is idle until the Elliott Lodging Thanksgiving Classic next Friday, when the Panthers host Cameron University in a 3:15 p.m. tipoff on the annual "Free Friday" promotion, where all fans are admitted for free.
