SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury University opens their 2016-17 bowling season Saturday and Sunday at the MidStates Championships hosted by Wichita State University.

The Drury women's team will be competing as an NCAA program for the first time and will compete in the MidAmerica Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA). The men's team, competing as a non-NCAA program, will also be in the event in Wichita. Head coach Larry Hughes brings a roster of six on the women's team and seven on the men's squad.

Following this weekend's event, the Panthers host the Andy B's Baker Challenge on Oct. 22 and 23 at the Andy B's on Battlefield Road in Springfield.
