OZARK - Missouri-St. Louis scored four times in the eighth to rally for a 5-3 victory over Drury in their Great Lakes Valley Conference and season finale Sunday afternoon at U.S. Baseball Park.
Drury finished the campaign with a 16-34 record, including 7-21 in the GLVC, while the Tritons completed play at 29-21 and 11-7 by taking three of four in the weekend series.
The Panthers pulled out of a 1-1 tie in the sixth by plating two runs on a
Conner Wilson RBI double and a
John Goodrich sacrifice fly. But the Tritons fought back with four in the eighth, on six singles, to grab the lead for good.Â

Austin Simms (4-5) took the loss for DU, allowing five hits and five runs (four earned) in his seven innings of mound work before giving way to the bullpen.Â
Kevin Smith (6-3) picked up the victory for UMSL, allowing eight hits and three runs in seven innings, striking out three and walking one.

Devan O'Bryan had two hits each for the Panthers, who had a 9-7 advantage in hits over the Tritons, who got two hits and two runs from Justin Busekrus.
