Lady Panthers begin title defense Thursday vs UMSL
The Lady Panthers begin their defense of the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship on Thursday as they host Missouri-St. Louis for a 5:30 p.m. game at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
 
Drury, ranked ninth in this week's WBCA / NCAA-II national poll, is 5-1 and coming off of two wins in last week's Oasis Hotel & Convention Center Thanksgiving Classic. Last year the Lady Panthers went 17-1 in conference play, won the West Division, and the GLVC tournament. 
 
UMSL is 3-1 with their only loss coming to Grand Valley State, 61-58, on Nov. 11. Saturday, the Tritons won at home over Lincoln 68-47. UMSL knocked off Division I SIU-Edwardsville 58-55 in an exhibition game on Nov. 3.
