Lady Panthers move up two spots to No. 7 in NCAA-II poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury Lady Panthers moved up two spots in this week's WBCA / NCAA-II coaches' poll and are now ranked seventh in the nation. Their number seven ranking matches their highest placement this season in the national poll. The Lady Panthers were ranked seventh in the Oct. 31st preseason poll. 
 
Drury is 7-1 and won both of their games last week with wins at home over Missouri-St. Louis, 69-55, and McKendree, 75-57. The Lady Panthers enter the week having won five straight.
 
Ashland (8-0) is the number one ranked team in the poll while Alaska-Anchorage (8-0) is ranked second and Bentley (8-0) is third.
 
One other GLVC team moved into the top 25 this week as Southern Indiana is ranked 22nd. The Screaming Eagles are 8-0 to start the season.
 
Drury is in action tonight as they play at Harding University for a 7 p.m. game in Searcy, Arkansas. The Lady Panthers return to conference play on Thursday with a 5:15 game at Quincy.
