Panthers face Bellarmine in GLVC quarterfinals
Drury plays top seeded Bellarmine in the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament quarterfinals on Thursday at noon in Evansville, Indiana.
 
The Panthers are seeded eighth and advanced to Thursday's game after a 97-76 win over Rockhurst on Sunday in the opening round. Drury is 18-9 and went 10-8 in the GLVC regular season. The Panthers head to Evansville winners of five of their last six games.
 
Bellarmine won the GLVC East Division and is the top overall seed in the tournament. The Knights are 25-3 and went 17-1 in the league. Bellarmine is ranked fourth in NCAA-II and received a first place vote in the national poll. They enter the quarterfinals having won 12 straight games. Their last loss was at Truman State on Jan. 13 in a 77-72 defeat on the road.
 
The Knights won the regular season meeting against Drury with an 87-64 win over the Panthers in Louisville, Kentucky on Feb. 2. The Knights shot .585 from the field in that game hitting 31 of 53 shots. Rusty Troutman led all scorers with 21 points in the game. Bellarmine led by six at halftime, 40-34, but outscored the Panthers 47-30 in the second half on their way to the win.
 
The winner of Thursday's game advances to the GLVC semifinals on Saturday at noon and will play the winner of fourth seeded UW-Parkside and the number five seed, Indianapolis.
