SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury hosts Trevecca Nazarene for a three-game series this weekend at US Baseball Park in Ozark with a game on Friday and a doubleheader on Saturday.
Friday's game starts at 2 p.m. while the doubleheader on Saturday begins at noon. The series is sponsored by Great Southern Bank and Friday's game features St. Patrick's Day drink specials from US Baseball Park concessions.
The Panthers are 9-6 going into Friday's game. Drury has been idle since last weekend after their game on Tuesday against second ranked Central Missouri was postponed by winter weather. The Panthers won two of three last weekend at Southern Indiana.
Trevecca Nazarene is 4-10 entering the weekend. The Trojans are coming off of a 16-8 loss to Tusculum on March 8. Prior to that loss, Trevecca Nazarene had also won two of three games against Southern Indiana when they played the Screaming Eagles on March 3 and 4. Trevecca Nazarene is 3-3 since going 1-7 to start the season.
Ryan Colombo is projected as Drury's starting pitcher for Friday. The senior from Topeka, Kansas has won each of his four starts and carries a 1.74 earned run average. He is coming off of a complete game win last Friday at Southern Indiana when he allowed six hits and one run through nine innings while walking two batters and striking out six.
