Lady Panthers set for Saints in GLVC quarterfinals
The Drury Lady Panthers take on Maryville in the quarterfinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament on Friday at noon in Evansville, Indiana.
 
The Lady Panthers are the top seed in the tournament and winners of the GLVC West Division. Drury is 25-3 and went 17-1 in the league's regular season. The Lady Panthers are ranked 6th nationally in NCAA-II.
 
Maryville is 13-13 and went 8-10 in the conference. The Saints entered the tournament seeded 11th and won on the road in the opening round on Sunday with an 80-78 win over sixth seeded Truman State.
 
The Lady Panthers swept the regular season series against Maryville winning 78-50 in Springfield on Dec.3 and 75-50 in St. Louis on Feb. 16.
 
The winner of Friday's game advances to the league semifinals on Saturday at 6 p.m. and will play the winner of the fourth seeded Bellarmine against the number five seed Rockhurst.
