EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Drury Lady Panthers take on Lewis in the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament championship game on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.

The Lady Panthers are 27-3 and seeded first in the tournament. Drury is ranked sixth nationally in NCAA-II, went 17-1 in the conference's regular season and won the West Division title for a third straight season. Drury advanced to the championship game with a win over Maryville, 71-43, in the quarterfinals and an 87-62 victory over #23 Bellarmine in the semifinals.
Lewis is 23-7 and is seeded third in the tournament bracket. The Flyers finished the league regular season tied for second place in the GLVC-East with a 13-5 record. Lewis defeated sixth seeded UMSL 80-61 in the quarterfinals and got past seventh seeded Indianapolis 69-50 in the semifinals on Saturday.
Drury will be seeking their fourth GLVC tournament championship in program history. The Lady Panthers won the league title in 2015, 2010 and 2008. In addition to Drury's three GLVC titles, Drury also won four conference championships in the Heartland Conference.
The Lady Panthers have an all-time record of 17-8 in the GLVC tournament. They are playing in the league championship game for the sixth time and carry a 3-2 record into the title game in their program history.

Drury is 10-7 all-time against Lewis and is 1-3 all-time in the tournament against the Flyers.
The Lady Panthers won the regular season meeting against Lewis 70-54 on Jan. 7 at the O'Reilly Family Event Center. Drury outscored the Flyers 43-28 in the second half on their way to the win.
Briana Jones led the Lady Panthers with 16 points and nine rebounds.
Daejah Bernard had a season-high nine rebounds in the game to go with her 11 points. Jamie Johnson had a game-high 21 points for Lewis. Drury was ranked 12
th while Lewis was ranked 16
th going into the game.
Following Sunday's game, the NCAA will announce their selections for the 2017 NCAA-II national championship tournament at approximately 9 p.m. (central). Entering the GLVC tournament, the Lady Panthers were ranked second in the Midwest Region while Lewis was ranked ninth. The top eight teams in the region, not counting automatic qualifiers, will make the regional tournament field.
