Lady Panthers in a divisional showdown at Truman St.
The Drury Lady Panthers start a four-game road trip at Truman State on Monday in a meeting of the top two teams in the West Division of the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m. in Kirksville, Missouri.
Drury is 14-1, 5-0 in the GLVC and is the only team in the league with an unbeaten conference record. Drury also carries a 12-game winning streak going into Monday's game. The Lady Panthers are 3-1 on the road this season.
Truman State trails Drury by a half-game in the West Division. The Bulldogs are 10-3 and 5-1 in the GLVC. Truman State is coming off of a 75-52 win at Rockhurst on Saturday. The Bulldogs had a four point halftime lead, then outscored the Hawks 39-20 in the second half to win. Truman State is 5-1 at home this season with their only home loss coming against Lewis, 73-58, on Jan. 6
Monday's game starts a four-game road stint for the Lady Panthers. Drury is at Bellarmine on Thursday, and then at Indianapolis on Saturday. Next week, the Lady Panthers conclude the road stretch with a game at Illinois Springfield on Jan. 25.
