10th ranked Lady Panthers at Illinois Springfield
The 10th ranked Drury Lady Panthers play their fourth consecutive road game on Thursday as they take on Illinois Springfield at 5:30 p.m.
Drury is 16-2, 7-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and is in first place in the West Division with a three-game lead in the loss column over Truman State and William Jewell. The Lady Panthers are coming off of an 80-60 win at Indianapolis on Saturday.
Illinois Springfield is 10-6 and 4-4 in the GLVC. The Prairie Stars are in a three-way tie for the Central Division lead but have dropped their last two games including a 65-59 loss at Maryville on Saturday.
UIS has already won more games this season than they have in 13 years. The program has not had a double-digit win season since 2003-04 when they played in the NAIA and finished 10-21.
Drury has never lost to the Prairie Stars as they own a 10-0 record against Illinois Springfield. Last year, the Lady Panthers won 80-62 over UIS at the O'Reilly Family Event Center on Feb. 11.
The Lady Panthers return home on Saturday to play William Jewell in their annual Overflow the O' game at 1 p.m. at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
