HONOLULU, Hawaii – The Drury men's swimming & diving team split results in Hawaii as they defeated the University of Hawaii 141-118 and lost to Minnesota 168-93 in a triangular meet in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The Panthers won the 200 medley relay as Pasha Semochkin,
Andrea Bazzoli, Rodrigo Caceras, and
Joan Casanovas combined for a time of 1:32.47 to win by .90 of a second.
Casanovas won the 500 freestyle completing the event in 4:31.19. He was also second in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:04.05.
Jesus Flores finished second in a pair of events. The junior from Honduras was second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 56.72 and was just .45 off of the winning time. Flores also had a second place finish in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:03.51.
Pasha Semochkin finished second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 49.77 and was .62 off of the winning pace.
Drury competes again when they host the Dual in the Pool against Missouri State on Jan. 18 at Breech Pool.
