Panthers host DoubleTree Thanksgiving Classic
Drury hosts the DoubleTree Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 23-24 at the O'Reilly Family Event Center. The Panthers will take on Upper Iowa on Friday, and Newman on Saturday with both games starting at 3:15 p.m. Missouri S&T will play at 1 p.m. both days seeing Newman on Friday afternoon, then Upper Iowa on Saturday.
Drury is 3-3 having won three straight games since Nov. 9. The Panthers are coming off of an 80-57 win against William Woods last Saturday.
Upper Iowa is 1-2 and won their last game with a 104-92 victory over Quincy on Nov. 16. The Peacocks started the year with two losses in the Missouri Western Classic falling to #2 Northwest Missouri St. 76-59 on Nov. 9 and then to the Griffins 75-67 the following day.
Newman is 3-2 and is coming off of a 76-75 win at home over Fort Hays State on Tuesday. The Jets have won three straight after starting the year with losses at Cameron, 103-69, and against Texas A&M Commerce 76-56.
