Panthers start GLVC season vs. Missouri S&T
Drury begins their Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule on Saturday hosting Missouri S&T at 3 p.m. in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
The Panthers are 4-4 after splitting their two home games last weekend in the DoubleTree Thanksgiving Classic. Drury lost to Upper Iowa 83-78 on Nov. 23 but bounced back the following afternoon for a 78-53 win over Newman.
Missouri S&T is 2-4, and Saturday's game is also the GLVC opener for the Miners. S&T was in Drury's DoubleTree Thanksgiving Classic last weekend and took losses to Newman, 88-81, and Upper Iowa 91-87. The Miners are coming off of an exhibition loss at Southeast Missouri State on Tuesday, 72-69.
Drury won both meetings against Missouri S&T last year, and they lead the all-time series 80-34. The Panthers have won 18 straight at home over the Miners dating back to Feb. 22, 1977, when Missouri S&T won 74-69 at Weiser Gym.
