#8 Lady Panthers open GLVC play vs. Missouri S&T
The eighth-ranked and two-time defending Great Lakes Valley Conference champion Drury Lady Panthers open league play on Saturday at 1 p.m. against Missouri S&T in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
The Lady Panthers are 7-0 and coming off of an 88-46 win at home over Rogers State on Thursday. The Miners are 2-3 and have been idle since last weekend. Missouri S&T lost on Nov. 24 at number one ranked Ashland, 100-72, then fell in overtime to Wayne State (Mich.) 70-67 the following day.
Drury is 25-6 against Missouri S&T all-time and has won the last 11 meetings dating back to a 66-63 home loss on Dec. 6, 2012. Last season, the Lady Panthers won at home over the Miners 82-51 on Jan. 13, and took the win in Rolla, 103-57, on Feb. 3.
Saturday's game is the conference opener for both teams.
Immediately following the game, Drury will honor its 2018 Hall of Fame induction class that includes: Dr. Thomas Lynch, M.D. (Lifetime Achievement), Alex Hall (men's basketball), Katie Pritchard (women's basketball), Vladimir Sidorkin (men's swimming & diving), Jing Hua (women's swimming & diving), and John Pedroli (men's soccer).

Hailey Diestelkamp became 17th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points on Thursday against Rogers State and, in the same game, she became the fifth Drury player ever to accumulate 600 career rebounds....The Lady Panthers have won 28 straight home games, the third-longest streak in Division II women's basketball....Drury has won 42 straight home GLVC games dating back to Jan. 5, 2014 when Indianapolis won at the O' 85-68.
