Panthers face 12^th ranked Barry in first game of Cruzin' Classic
Drury plays the first of two games in the Cruzin' Classic on Sunday against 12th ranked Barry in the Broward County/Greater Ft. Lauderdale Civic Center. Tipoff is at 12:30 p.m. (Central).
 
The Panthers are 6-4 and winners of three straight games. Drury has been idle since a Dec. 7 win over Central Christian, 100-78.
 
The Buccaneers are 6-1 and coming off of an 80-74 win over Eckerd. Barry's lone loss this season came against sixth-ranked Nova Southeastern, 103-93, on Nov. 28.  Last year, the Bucs went 23-9, won the NCAA-II South Regional, and advanced to the Elite Eight where they lost to eventual national champion Ferris State 87-84 in the quarterfinals.
 
Sunday's game is the first-ever meeting between the Panthers and Barry.
 
Drury plays their second game in the Cruzin' Classic on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. (Central) against St. Thomas (Fla.).
 
Notes To Know
Barry is the second nationally ranked team and the second Elite Eight team from 2018 that Drury has faced this season. The Panthers opened the year against #4 West Texas A&M, a national semifinalist in '18, and lost in overtime 68-62 in the CCA D-2 Showcase in Anaheim, California.
 
Conley Garrison was named the GLVC Player of the Week last week after his 36-point performance against Central Christian. In his last four games, Garrison is averaging 25.5 points, shooting 65 percent from the field (37 for 57), 56 percent from three-point range (18 for 32), and he has made his last 19 free throws through his last seven games dating back to Nov. 9.
