Drury takes on St. Thomas in second game of Cruzin' Classic
Drury takes on St. Thomas (Fla.) on Tuesday in their second game of the Cruzin' Classic in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Tipoff is at 6:30 p.m. (Central) in the Broward County/Greater Fort Lauderdale Civic Center.
The Panthers are 6-5 after an 82-81 loss to 12th ranked Barry on Sunday in Drury's first game in the event. It was the second time this season the Panthers have lost by one point, and each of Drury's five losses has been by six points or less including the six-point loss that came in overtime.
St. Thomas is 5-5, and the Bobcats are coming off of an 87-68 win over Johnson & Wales on Dec. 8. Last year, St. Thomas went 23-8, 16-2 in the Sun Conference, and advanced to the second round of the NAIA-II tournament. They finished the year ranked 8
th nationally at their level and began the year 25
th in the NAIA-II preseason coaches' poll.
After Tuesday's game, Drury is idle until Jan. 3 when they resume their GLVC schedule with a game at William Jewell.

Allen Billinger is coming off of a career-high 28 point game against 12th ranked Barry on Sunday. The Carbondale, Illinois native has scored in double-figures in five straight games. He is averaging 19.6 points during that stretch.
The Panthers average the second-most assists in the nation with 21.5 per game and have the fifth-best assist-to-turnover ration in Division II at +1.77.
A win by Drury would be the 1,600th victory in the program's 110-year history. The Panthers are 1,599-933 all-time since their first season in 1908-09.
