Panthers host Wisconsin-Parkside for Homecoming '18
The Drury Panthers will look to bounce back from a home loss on Thursday as they host Wisconsin-Parkside for their 2018 Homecoming game at the O'Reilly Family Event Center on Saturday. Tipoff is 3 p.m.
Drury head coach
Steve Hesser can get his 300th career win as a collegiate head coach in the game. Hesser owns a career record of 299-111 and is in his 14th year leading the program. In Drury's 109 year history of men's basketball, only the legendary A.L. Weiser has more wins as a Drury head coach than Hesser. Weiser won 316 games during his 31 years guiding the team from 1927-1958.
Drury is 18-5, 11-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and is tied for first place in the West Division with Truman State.
Wisconsin-Parkside is 9-16, 7-8 in the GLVC and is in fifth place in the East Division. The Rangers lost at Truman State 89-60 on Thursday and have lost their last two games entering Saturday's contest. Seven of Parkside's nine wins this season have come after Jan. 1.
