Lady Panthers end road stint at Maryville
The eighth-ranked Drury Lady Panthers end a stretch of three straight road games at Maryville on Saturday. Tipoff is at 1 p.m. in Moloney Arena.
Drury is 21-2, 12-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and winners of six consecutive games. The Lady Panthers are in first place in the West Division with a four-game lead over second-place William Jewell. Drury is coming off of a 100-69 win on Thursday at Rockhurst and has scored 100 points or more in three of their last four games.
Maryville is 7-13, 4-10 in the GLVC and is in a fourth-place tie with Quincy in the Central Division. The Saints have lost three of their last four including a 75-66 loss at home on Thursday to Lewis.
Drury and Maryville played one another three times last year with Drury winning each time. The Lady Panthers won at home 78-50, took the game at Maryville 75-50, and won in the GLVC quarterfinals 71-43 in Evansville, Indiana. Drury leads the all-time series 14-3 and has won the last six games against the Saints dating back to a 56-55 loss in the GLVC quarterfinals in 2014.
