Lady Panthers face Lewis in showdown of nationally ranked teams
The 3rd ranked Drury Lady Panthers face 17th ranked Lewis in a showdown between two top 25 teams on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
 
Drury is 14-0, 4-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and is coming off of a 77-47 win over Indianapolis at home on Thursday.
 
Lewis is 13-1 and winners of 13 straight after a season-opening loss to Northern Michigan 62-55, a team the Flyers came back to beat a month later on the road 65-51. The Flyers are also 4-0 in the GLVC and won at Missouri S&T 74-48 on Thursday.
 
Lewis is led by two-time GLVC Player of the Year Jessica Kelliher who enters today's game averaging 22.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, and is shooting .646 from the field.
 
Drury leads the all-time series against Lewis 13-7 and has won four straight against the Flyers. The two teams have met in the postseason in each of the last two years with the Lady Panthers winning 63-49 last year's 2nd round of the NCAA-II tournament, and 67-63 in the 2017 GLVC Championship game.
 
The Lady Panthers return to the road following Saturday's game as they take on McKendree on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Lebanon, Ill.

--At 14-0, Drury is off to their best start in program history.
--Hailey Diestelkamp is 13th on Drury's all-time scoring list with 1,148 points. She's 4th at DU in career rebounds with 678.
--Diestelkamp's triple-double on Thursday (21 points, 10 rebounds, 10 steals vs Indianapolis) is the first such game on record in Lady Panthers history.
--The Lady Panthers are averaging an NCAA-II best 17.1 steals per game.
