SPRINGFIELD, Mo.—Drury forward Hailey Diestelkamp has been named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Women's Division II National Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 13.
 
Diestelkamp averaged 24.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 7.5 steals, and 2.5 assists in a pair of Drury wins last week as the second-ranked Lady Panthers improved to 15-0 and 4-0 in the GLVC. She also shot 58 percent from the field going 18 for 31 and was 79 percent from the free throw line hitting 11 of her 14 tries.
 
Diestelkamp registered the first triple-double on record at Drury with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 steals against Indianapolis on Thursday, then followed that with 28 points, 15 boards, five steals, and three assists against 17th ranked Lewis on Saturday. The performances have given her a double-double in four straight games and a total of eight so far this season.
 
Earlier this week, Diestelkamp was named the GLVC Player of the Week for the third time this season. She is also the third Drury student-athlete to earn national Player of the Week honors this year. Claire McCune was the National Runner of the Week in women's cross country on Sept. 24, and Emmalee Chrest was named the NCAA-II National Volleyball Player of the Week on Sept. 11.
 
The Lady Panthers return to action on Thursday when they travel to McKendree for a 5:30 p.m. game in Lebanon, Illinois.
