Panthers start Illinois road trip at McKendree
The Drury Panthers open a two-game trip to Illinois on Thursday with a 7:30 p.m. game at McKendree. The Panthers are coming off of a 93-54 win over Lewis on Saturday and enter the week 8-8 with a 2-3 record in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. McKendree is 7-7, 3-2 in the conference and picked up a 92-67 win over Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday. 
 
Drury leads the all-time series against McKendree 11-5. The two teams have met four times as GLVC members, and the Panthers have three of those four match-ups. Last year, the Bearcats won 100-91 on Dec. 2 at the O'Reilly Family Event Center. 
 
Drury's road trip to Illinois continues on Saturday as the Panthers travel to Illinois Springfield for a 3 p.m. game.
 
Notes To Know
--Conley Garrison gave Drury their second double-double of the year in Saturday's 93-54 win over Lewis as the sophomore put up 10 points and 11 assists against the Flyers.
--Drury head coach Steve Hesser needs just six more wins to match the career victory total of A.L. Weiser for the all-time lead in career coaching wins in program history. Coach Hesser is 310-122 in his 15 seasons leading the program.
--Drury's field goal defense leads the conference as they are allowing only a .406 mark against them so far this season.
