Lady Panthers retain NUMBER ONE national ranking in NCAA-II coaches' poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury Lady Panthers are still the number one ranked team in NCAA-II following the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's first in-season poll of 2019-20. Drury was the top-ranked team in the preseason poll and retained their position after a 4-0 start.
 
Lubbock Christian is ranked second in the nation while Grand Valley State is third, Azuza Pacific is fourth, and Fort Hays State is ranked fifth.
 
This week marks the 97th week in a row the Lady Panthers have been in the top 25, the longest such streak in the nation, and it is their 35th straight week in the top 10.
 
Drury returns to action on Nov. 29 against Central Missouri, the 2018 NCAA-II national champion, at 5:30 pm at the O'Reilly Family Event Center as part of the Oasis Hotel & Convention Center Thanksgiving Classic. Admission is FREE to that game as well as all four games hosted on Friday at the O' as part of Drury's Black Friday promotion.
