The Drury Lady Panthers play two games in the Terrace Hotel Classic hosted by Florida Southern in Lakeland, Florida, on Thursday and Friday.

The Lady Panthers are the number one ranked team in NCAA-II and enter the event 8-0. Drury has been idle since Dec. 6 when they defeated Arkansas-Fort Smith 100-58 at home. The two games this week are Drury's first contests away from the O'Reilly Family Event Center since Nov. 3 and their last two non-conference games of the regular season.

Drury will take on Eckerd on Thursday at 11 am (Central). The Tritons are 5-2 and coming off of back-to-back wins with victories over Flagler 82-60 on Sunday and a 70-64 win against Barry on Dec. 7. Eckerd went 22-10 last year and advanced to the NCAA-II tournament.

The Lady Panthers face host Florida Southern on Friday at 1 pm (Central). The Mocs enter the event 5-5 and will play 25th ranked Lindenwood on Thursday. Florida Southern went 30-4 in 2018-19 and was the host of the as the top-seeded team in the South Regional.

After Friday's game, the Lady Panthers will take an NCAA-mandated break in their schedule and return to action on Jan. 2 at Southern Indiana.

Daejah Bernard needs only four assists to break Drury's all-time record. The senior from St. Joseph, Missouri has 471 assists during her career and is chasing Kara Rutledge's mark of 474 set between 2002-06.

Hailey Diestelkamp is 65 points away from becoming the Lady Panthers all-time leading scorer. Diestelkamp moved up to number two on Drury's career scoring list last on Nov. 29 and currently has 1,750 points. She passed Bethany Funderburk's (2010-14) total of 1,716 against Northern Michigan on Saturday. Â

--Drury has won 47 straight regular season games. The Lady Panthers won all 28 contests before the postseason last year and have not lost a regular season game since Jan. 18, 2018 at Bellarmine.
