Drury hosts Bulldogs in GLVC battle
The Drury Panthers host Truman State on Saturday in a key Great Lakes Valley Conference battle between two teams trying to fight their way into the upper tier of the league.

Drury is 11-10 and 5-5 in the GLVC after winning their last two games including an 86-59 win at home over Quincy on Thursday.

Truman State is 11-10 and 6-5 in the league after their win on Thursday at Missouri S&T 70-65. The Bulldogs have won three straight and have been streaky all season. They began the year with four consecutive losses but bounced back to win four straight and picked up eight wins in nine games from Nov. 23 to Jan. 3. Truman State then lost five in a row (from Jan. 5-19)  before their current three-game winning streak.

The Panthers lead the all-time series against the Bulldogs 10-8 but have lost four of their last six to Truman State. Drury won two of the three games against them last year with the loss coming in the GLVC semifinals 68-67 in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Drury is back on their home floor next week when they host Maryville for a 7:45 p.m. match-up at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Notes To Know
--Conley Garrison has scored 27 points in back-to-back games after hitting that point total on Thursday against Quincy and last Saturday at Southern Indiana.
--Drury is 6-0 this year when they have held teams to less than 60 points.
--Drury head coach Steve Hesser needs just three more wins to match the career victory total of A.L. Weiser for the program's all-time lead in career coaching wins. Coach Hesser is 313-124 in his 15 seasons leading the program.
