Panthers take five-game winning streak to Rolla
The Drury Panthers take their five-game winning streak to Missouri S&T for a 3 p.m. game on Saturday in Rolla.
 
Drury is 14-10, 8-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and is coming off of an 84-68 win over Missouri-St. Louis at home on Feb. 9. The Panthers five-game winning streak started Jan. 26 with a 76-72 win at Southern Indiana and continued through four home games in the following two weeks.
 
Missouri S&T is also coming off of a win on Saturday having beaten Maryville 87-73. The Miners are 4-17 and 2-11 in the GLVC. Their win last week snapped a six-game losing streak. 
 
This Saturday's game is a rematch of Drury's 90-81 win in Springfield on Dec. 1. The Panthers led by as much as 20 in the second half before Missouri S&T rallied to pull within single-digits. Drury leads the all-time series 81-34 against the Miners.
 
The Panthers go back on the road for the next game as they travel to Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday and play the Tritons for the second time in their last three games. Game time is 7:30 pm at UMSL.
 
Notes To Know
--Conley Garrison was named the GLVC Player of the Week. In two games last week, the sophomore from Bolivar averaged 25 points, 8 assists, and 2.5 steals while shooting 67 percent (18 for 27). It marks the second time this year he has won the league's weekly award.
--Drury is 8-0 this season when they have held the opposition to fewer than 60 points.
--Head coach Steve Hesser needs just one more win to pass the career victory total of A.L. Weiser for the program's all-time lead in career coaching wins. Coach Hesser is 316-124 in his 15 seasons leading the program.
