Lady Panthers aim to complete an undefeated regular season
The Drury Lady Panthers, ranked number one in the NCAA-II coaches' poll, will look to complete their first undefeated regular season in program history on Saturday as they host William Jewell at 1 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
Â
Drury is 27-0, 17-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and is coming off of 90-67 win at home over Rockhurst on Thursday. The Cardinals are 14-11, 8-9 in the GLVC and their 68-46 win at Missouri S&T on Thursday clinched them a spot in the conference tournament next week.
Â
The Lady Panthers lead the all-time series 11-3 and won at William Jewell earlier this year, 71-46, on Jan. 3.
Hailey Diestelkamp had a double-double in that game with 19 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 8 for 11 from the field. William Jewell was held to 30 percent shooting from the floor going 16 for 53.
Â
Drury heads to the GLVC tournament next week in Edwardsville, Illinois. The quarterfinals of the women's tournament start on March 8 with times to be determined later this weekend.

Notes to Know
--Drury's 27-game winning streak is the second-longest in program history. The Lady Panthers won 30 straight in their national runner-up season in 2003-04.
--While Drury is trying to complete their first undefeated regular season, they are also looking for their fourth perfect conference season. DU went 19-0 in their first year in the GLVC in 2006 and went 12-0 in the Heartland Conference in 2005 and 2004.
--
Hailey Diestelkamp enters today's game with 571 points for the year - second-most ever in a Drury single-season. Lindsay Ballweg holds Drury's season-record with 644 points in the 2009-10 season.
--Diestelkamp is also 21 rebounds away from breaking the Lady Panthers all-time record. Her 792 boards are the third-best total ever at DU behind only Amanda Newton (2002-06) with 793 and Melanie Oliver (2007-10) with 812. Â
--
Daejah Bernard enters today's game leading the nation in steals with 106 and Thursday she set a program record for assists in a season with 171.
