Panthers at 12th ranked Southern Indiana
Drury renews their schedule on Thursday at Southern Indiana in a battle of nationally-ranked teams. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 pm in Evansville, Indiana.

The Panthers are 8-1, 1-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and ranked tied for 25th in the latest NCAA-II coaches poll. Southern Indiana is 8-1,  0-1 in the league and ranked 12th. Both teams have been idle since Dec. 22.

Drury leads the all-time series, but just barely. The Panthers are 12-11 in their history against the Screaming Eagles and won last year's game 76-72 at USI. Drury has won the last three contests head-to-head against Southern Indiana and seven of the previous eight encounters.

Drury guard Conley Garrison goes into Thursday's game 16 points away from hitting the 1,000-point milestone in his career. The junior from Bolivar has 984 points and will become the 44th player in program history to reach the milestone. Garrison ranked 44th on Drury's all-time scoring list.

Senior guard Isaac Johnson is also closing in on 1,000 career points and is 82 points away from the mark. Johnson has 918 points heading into Thursday's game and currently ranks 49th on Drury's all-time scoring list.

Thursday's game will be Drury's first in Southern Indiana's brand new building - Screaming Eagle Arena. The 4,800-seat facility opened earlier in 2019 and is in its first season of operation.

Drury has only played one road game this season. The Panthers won 88-67 at Trevecca Nazarene on Nov. 9 in their second game of the season. Drury played two neutral-court games two weeks ago when they went 1-1 at the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic as they lost to Rollis 72-67 and won in overtime against Pittsburg State 94-92. The Panthers are 3-1 away from home so far this year. Drury went 5-4 on the road last season.

The Panthers continue their road trip on Saturday when they travel to McKendree for a 3 pm game in Lebanon, Illinois.
