Drury ends two-game home stint vs. Lindenwood
The Drury Panthers play their second home game this week as they host Lindenwood on Saturday at 3 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Drury is looking to snap a three-game losing streak. Last week, the Panthers fell on the road at 12th ranked Southern Indiana, 86-82, then at McKendree, 80-70, and on Thursday lost to 23rd ranked Missouri-St. Louis, 72-70. The Panthers are 8-4 and 1-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Lindenwood is also 8-4 but with a 2-2 mark in the league. The Lions lost on Thursday at Southwest Baptist, 84-80. That defeat snapped Lindwood's five-game winning streak.

Lindenwood is the top-scoring team in the conference averaging 86.9 points per game. The Lions have reached 100 points in a game twice this year and have topped 80 points in eight of their 12 games so far this season.

The Lions are one of two new teams in the GLVC this season (Southwest Baptist is the other). Saturday's game is only the second meeting all-time between the two programs and the first since the 1993-94 season. The Panthers won the only encounter, 88-76, in Weiser Gym on Nov. 26, 1993.

After Saturday's game, Drury goes on the road for their next five contests. The Panthers are Maryville next Thursday for a 7:30 pm game in St. Louis starting a stretch of three games in six days.
