Top-Ranked Lady Panthers host new GLVC foe Lindenwood
The Drury Lady Panthers face new Great Lakes Valley Conference foe Lindenwood on Saturday at 1 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
Drury is ranked number one in NCAA-II and is undefeated at 13-0 with a 4-0 mark in the GLVC. Lindenwood is 7-3, 3-1 in the league, and coming off of a 72-68 win on Thursday at Southwest Baptist, the conference's other new member.
The Lady Panthers won their last game with a 91-58 victory of Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday to extend their home-court winning streak to 46.
Saturday's game is just the third meeting all-time between the two teams. The Lady Panthers beat Lindenwood 76-43 last year at the O' on Nov. 23.
Drury point guard
Daejah Bernard enters Saturday's game needing just four assists to become the first player in program history to reach 500 career assists. The senior from St. Joseph, Missouri, already owns Drury's all-time record, setting the mark on Dec. 19 in Drury's win over Eckerd in Florida.
After Saturday's game, the Lady Panthers return to action on Thursday at Maryville for a 5:15 pm game in St. Louis.
