Panthers head to Missouri S&T for second game of road trip
The Drury Panthers play their second of five straight road games on Saturday as they take on Missouri S&T in Rolla. Tipoff is at 3 pm.
 
Drury is 10-4 and 3-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference after a 76-71 win at Maryville on Thursday. Missouri S&T is 3-9, 1-5 in the GLVC, and is looking to snap a five-game losing streak. The Miners fell at home on Thursday to Southwest Baptist, 75-71.
 
The Panthers are the top three-point shooting team in the conference with a .422 percentage behind the arc. Drury tied a team record with 38 three-point attempts on Thursday at Maryville and made 18. Cal Hartley has hit 46 three's already this season while Conley Garrison has sunk 37.
 
Drury leads the all-time series against Missouri S&T 82-34 and won both games against the Miners last year.
 
Missouri S&T is under first-year head coach Bill Walker. The S&T alumn spent the previous five years as head coach at Illinois Springfield.
 
The Panthers continue their road stint on Monday when they travel to Bolivar and take on Southwest Baptist for a 7:30 pm game.
 
Hartley leads the NCAA-II from three
Drury guard Cal Hartley entered the week leading NCAA-II in three-point percentage. The junior from Benton, Kansas, is shooting .535 from beyond the arc has hit 46 of his 86 attempts. His 46 three-pointers rank third-best in the GLVC.
