INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The number one ranked Drury Lady Panthers scored the first 14 points of their game at Indianapolis and stayed undefeated with a 73-51 win over the Greyhounds at Nicoson Hall on Thursday.
 
Drury went to 18-0 and 9-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference while Indianapolis fell to 12-5 and 5-4 in the league.
 
The win was Drury's 55th straight regular season victory, and their 46th win in a row in the GLVC.
 
Lady Panthers head coach Molly Miller was not on the sideline for the game but stayed in Springfield with the birth of her second child imminent.
 
Drury burst to a 14-0 lead in the first four minutes of the game as they hit their first four three-point attempts. They owned a 26-10 lead after the opening period before Indianapolis cut the margin to 12 by halftime, 40-28.
 
"You could tell with how we opened the game that we were fired up," said Drury assistant coach Buck Scheel. "It shows you, though, what this team is like with veteran leadership and just the culture of this team. We got some great looks early, got them in rhythm, and that just got it rolling for us."
 
Indianapolis managed to pull within 10, 40-30, early in the third quarter, but the Lady Panthers responded with a 10-2 run and led by as much as 28 in the fourth period.
 
Hailey Diestelkamp and Paige Robinson scored 14 points each lead for Drury. Diestelkamp added a team-high six rebounds while Emily Parker contributed 13 points.
 
The Lady Panthers grabbed 20 offensive rebounds and forced Indianapolis into 27 turnovers while committing only 13. That combination gave Drury 20 more shots than the Greyhounds as DU went 25 for 67 from the field while UIndy hit 19 of their 47 attempts.
 
Liz Alsot led Indianapolis with 12 points. 
 
The Lady Panthers play their fifth-straight road game on Saturday when they travel to Bellarmine for a noon game in Louisville, Kentucky.
