Drury set to battle Maryville
Fresh off of an 81-62 win at home over Missouri S&T on Thursday, the Drury Panthers return to their home court to host Maryville on Saturday at 3 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Drury is 12-7, 5-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and they own a 7-1 record at home. The Panthers only loss during the regular season at the O' came against 15th ranked Missouri-St. Louis 72-70 on Jan. 9.

Maryville is 4-14, 0-11 in the GLVC, and will be looking to snap a 10-game losing streak. The Saints lost on Thursday at Southwest Baptist 76-61.

The Panthers defeated Maryville earlier this season, 76-71, on Jan. 16 in St. Louis. Cal Hartley came off of the bench to score 17 points hitting five three-pointers while Sam Marshall added a career-high 14 points. Dezmond McDaniel led the Saints with 20 points as Drury fought off a late rally by the Saints to win by five.

Drury leads the all-time series against Maryville 18-2 and has won 12 straight against the Saints. Maryville's last win over Drury was on Feb. 9, 2012, in a 73-55 Saints victory in St. Louis.

The Panthers are back at home for two games next week as they host Lewis on Thursday at 7:45 pm and Illinois Springfield on Saturday at 3 pm for Overflow the O' presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts.

Johnson nears 1,000 career points
Drury guard Isaac Johnson is just three points away from reaching the 1,000 career points milestone. The senior from Springfield-Kickapoo is averaging 8.6 points this season and enters Saturday's game with 997 in his career. Johnson would be the 45th player in Drury's 109-year history to reach the mark. Conley Garrison surpassed the milestone earlier this season.
