Panthers at Rockhurst to start two-game road trip
The Drury Panthers start a two-game trip to the Kansas City area on Thursday with a 7:30 pm game at Rockhurst.

The Panthers have won four straight and are 15-7 and 8-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Drury is coming off of an 86-78 win over Illinois Springfield on Saturday at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Rockhurst is 14-8, 10-4 in the GLVC, and is tied for the third-best record in the conference. The Hawks are coming off of a 76-72 overtime win over 12th ranked Bellarmine.

Drury guard Conley Garrison averaged 31.5 points in two games for the Panthers last week. The junior from Bolivar had a season-high 25 points last week against Lewis, then posted a career-high 38 against Illinois Springfield. Garrison went 20 for 30 from the floor, 14 of 15 from the free throw line, and 9 for 13 from three-point range. He also moved up 26th on Drury's all-time scoring list and is just two points away from moving even with Jerry Murphy (1971-75) and earning a spot among the Panthers top 25 all-time leading scorers.

Drury leads the all-time series against Rockhurst 72-45, but the two teams split the season series last year with the home team winning both contests. The Panthers lost 62-60 in Kansas City last year and won 79-71 at home last season.

Drury's road trip continues on Saturday as they take on William Jewell at 3 pm in Liberty, Missouri.

Comeback Kids
Drury has trailed at halftime in their last two games but came back to win both. The Panthers were down 48-45 to Lewis last week and trailed until the final 5:50 of regulation but managed an 84-82. Drury was behind 40-36 at the intermission on Saturday but rallied for an 86-79 victory. Drury has outscored their opponent in the second half in five straight games.
