Panthers home vs. William Jewell
Drury enters the final week of the regular season battling for a conference tournament spot and looking for a way to crack the top eight in the NCAA-II Midwest Regional rankings. Thursday, they host William Jewell at 7:45 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
 
The Panthers are 18-8, 11-7 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and ranked eighth in the league's Point Rating System. Only the top eight teams in the GLVC advance to the league tournament. Drury is also ranked ninth in the region entering the week.
 
The Cardinals are 10-16 and 5-13 in the conference.
 
Drury defeated William Jewell 89-59 on Feb. 15 in Liberty, Missouri, as Cal Hartley posted career-highs in scoring and rebounding with 28 points and 10 boards.
 
Drury ends the regular season on Saturday against Rockhurst for a 1 pm game on Senior Day and Homecoming at the O'.
 
Fabulous Februarys
Under head coach Steve Hesser, the Panthers have gone 97-23 (.808) in the month of February. Drury is 6-1 so far this month, and last year went 7-0 in February. In Hesser's 16 years, the Panthers have had a losing record during February only once (2009 when they were 1-6). Drury has gone unbeaten in February five times, including their national championship season of 2013.
