Lady Panthers aim for second straight undefeated regular season Â
The Drury Lady Panthers look for their second straight undefeated regular season as they host Rockhurst on Saturday for Senior Day and Homecoming 2020.
Â
Drury is 28-0 and 19-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Hawks enter the game 10-17 and 4-15 in the league.
Â
The Lady Panthers finished the regular season in 2018-19 with a 28-0 record and an 18-0 mark in the GLVC. Should Drury win on Saturday, they would become the first team in league history to go undefeated in league play in back-to-back seasons. Since 1981, there have only been four teams in the GLVC that have completed unbeaten runs in conference play: Southern Indiana (20-0 in 1997), Drury (19-0 in 2006), Lewis (18-0 in 2016), and Drury again (18-0 in 2019).
Â
The Lady Panthers will open the postseason in the quarterfinals of the GLVC on Thursday with a 2:30 pm game in Edwardsville, Illinois. Drury has clinched the number one seed in the league tournament.
