SPRINGFIELD, Mo. –The Drury softball Panthers earned a split to wrap up action at the DU Invitational, winning 10-2 over Wayne State before falling 1-0 vs. Newman in the nightcap at Thompson Field on Sunday.

In the opener, RBIs hits from Abbey McAteer and Grace King came through with RBI hits in the opening inning to put the Panthers up early 3-1 vs. Wayne State.  Drury tacked on four runs on six hits in the third inning to put more distance between them and the Wildcats, 7-1.

Wayne State added a run in the top of the fifth, but Drury answered with three runs in the bottom half off the inning, which included six walks.
