Panthers face top-seeded UMSL in GLVC Quarterfinals
The Drury Panthers will take on top-seeded Missouri-St. Louis in the quarterfinal round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference on Thursday at 6 pm in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Drury is 20-8 and finished the GLVC regular season with a 13-7 record. While their league record was tied for the fourth-best mark in the conference, the GLVC's Point Rating System placed the Panthers as an eighth seed on the postseason bracket. Drury enters the tournament ranked ninth in the Midwest Region.Â

UMSL is 25-5 and finished with a 16-4 conference record-tying them with Truman State for the best mark in the GLVC. The Tritons are the top seed in the tournament as they finished with the best point rating in the league. UMSL is ranked 16th in NCAA-II and is currently third in the latest Midwest Regional Rankings.

The two teams have only played once during the regular season and Missouri-St. Louis edged the Panthers 72-70 at the O'Reilly Family Event on January 9.

The winner of Thursday's game will advance to the GLVC semifinals and will play the winner of fourth-seeded Southern Indiana and fifth-seeded Bellarmine on Saturday at 6 pm. The GLVC championship game is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, at 3:30 pm.

The Panthers are 20-10 in their history in the GLVC tournament and have
won the tournament championship three times (2015, 2013, and 2008).
Drury is 10-3 all-time in the quarterfinals.

Last season, the Panthers were 2-1 in the GLVC tournament as they defeated Indianapolis, in the quarterfinals, the top-seeded Lewis in overtime, to reach the championship game.
